City funding set aside and vendor evaluation begins
MJPD later reported that the city had allocated $100,000 for the fiscal year and that police and IT personnel began evaluating ALPR technology.
RFP released after roughly 60-day single-site pilot
The city released a request for proposals after testing one ALPR site for about 60 days. MJPD identified 37 proposed fixed-camera locations.
